When I turn on the news I see female news casters wearing sleeveless dresses and no stockings in Winter, is this a fashion trend for office attire? First it was fashionable not to wear a slip, next fashion statement was no stockings, are we now totaling ignoring cold weather by donning sleeves dresses in Winter? |

Roz the Traffic Lady had on some odd short-sleeved sweatshirt-looking thing this morning. It's Chicago and 20 degrees out. All I can figure is that she spilled coffee on whatever she was originally wearing. |

The heat works just fine in my office, so yeah, sometimes I will shed layers and wind up in short sleeves (I generally don't wear sleeveless, but that's just because I don't like my arms). |

I have some sleeveless dresses that I can wear with a long-sleeved t-shirt under in winter, or I put a cardigan over, but I generally don't sport bare arms. For TV lights and stuffy offices it makes sense to shed layers. Last edited by fleetiebelle; 01-26-2016 at 08:38 AM.. |

Yup! I just wear a cardigan or jacket. I live in California though, it is usually not that cold. I wear tights/stockings mostly for style not for warmth. |

It doesn't really get that cold here so I wear sleeveless dresses whenever I feel like it. Most of the time I'll wear a short sleeved jacket or a shrug with them. |

I believe in exercising my constitutional rights, especially the second amendment, which protects my right to "bare" arms. |

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, there was a sleeveless dress trend. You saw sleeveless even in the winter, and I'm not talking about evening wear. This present sleeveless trend is either a trend or a fad--I don't know which. It will probably pass. Or it might be more long lived than I think. But there is no law that any woman has to go sleeveless. Although it has gotten hard to find a dress that has sleeves! |

I wear what I want when I want and don't care what is considered fasionable, trendy or appropriate by others. |
